Howdy. I’m 12BoomBoom, a former US Army combat engineer (12B) with 12 years and 3 deployments to Afghanistan - 2005, 2010, and 2014. I’m also a public safety bomb technician, one of the guys wearing those big green bomb suits and “defusing” bombs. Hopefully I can share some knowledge on explosives, the combat engineer MOS, and bomb squads so you have a better idea of what we do.
